Qualifications
I am a qualified career consultant with a Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Education, Information and Guidance in Higher Education from the University of Warwick, as well as a BSc (Hons) Degree and PhD from the University of Liverpool.
Experience of careers work
I work part-time as a Careers Adviser in the Higher Education Sector with careers guidance experience from the Universities of Loughborough, Chester and Lancaster.
My work at 'Back on Course' involves offering guidance to early leavers of Higher Education courses. I provide support and guidance to students to help them with their University course selection, completion of UCAS application forms and funding options.
I also have experience of Outplacement consultancy work, involving provision of support and careers advice to individuals facing redundancy or seeking a career change in organisations in the North West.

Wendy is a member of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS)
Personal History
I spent the first 12 years of my career in biomedical research in the pharmaceutical industry. On discovering that my passion was to help people to maximise their potential in life, I retrained as a careers adviser and professional development trainer.
Other Interests
My interest in developing self-awareness led me to train as an accredited Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality assessment coach and also as a teacher of the Alexander Technique.
